Absolut Vodka celebrates the rediscovery of Andy Warhol’s long-rumored ‘blue’ painting with a new limited-edition bottle, created in collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. This release pays tribute to the iconic artist’s initial collaboration with Absolut nearly four decades ago. The bottle, available exclusively in global travel retail, features a multi-layered screen-printed design inspired by Warhol’s ‘blue’ painting, showcasing vibrant blue hues and an image of Warhol with his signature.
To commemorate the launch, Amsterdam Airport will host an interactive Absolut Warhol pop-up store, inviting travelers to explore this artistic story. A global 3D OOH campaign and various retail activations at major airports worldwide will further amplify the release. Absolut Warhol’s Milk Punch, a cocktail inspired by Warhol’s sweet tooth and love for cornflakes, will be introduced alongside the bottle, with an immersive experience accessible via a QR code on the bottle.
The limited-edition bottle will roll out to over 50 markets starting this September. The original Warhol painting will also be unveiled on October 17, at Stockholm’s Spritmuseum during the ‘Andy Warhol, Money On The Wall’ exhibition curated by Dr. Blake Gopnik.
